Breaking News – On what looks like a major blow, Britain has decided to allow animal testing for cosmetics. Now companies can tests their products on animals. This shocking move comes after a 25 year of testing ban.
Britain Lifts Animal Testing Ban After 25 Years
This move looks like we are taking steps backward rather than forward. Cruelty Free International said it was outrageous that the government has allowed for testing once again. Animal testing was banned in UK in 1998.
We at Cruelty Free Guide share same feelings as Cruelty Free International. It is more of 2 steps forward and 3 steps backward.
Here is what the CEO of CFI said as per BBC report,
“The case shows clearly that was prioritising the interests of contract-testing companies over those of animals and the wishes of the vast majority of British people who are strongly opposed to cosmetics testing.”
